International Program 2012
August 29, 2011 - West Chester, OH - Ohio Elite Soccer Academy is proud to announce the second year of our Boy’s International Training Program.  The intent of this trip is to continue to provide “player-first development.” The International trip will again depart for Argentina in February 2012. The players will be based at Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata.

Gimasia is the oldest team in Latin America, founded on June 3, 1889. It has one of the most passionate fan bases in all of South America.

The tour will consist of nine days in Buenos Aires and La Plata, Argentina and will take place in mid February over President’s Day weekend. During the trip the players will…

·        Train daily with a professional club
·        Play in three games
·        Watch two First Division matches
·        Tour historic stadiums, museums, and towns
·        Sightseeing in La Plata and Buenos Aries, Argentina
·        Visit Colonia, Uruguay

Our International Training Program has been designed to expose Ohio Elite players to various soccer cultures, develop their understanding for the game from a different prospective, and to give them an opportunity to experience life in another part of the world.

Current OESA player Trey Lonneman said, "I was blessed to have the opportunity to train in Argentina. It was a life changing experience. It was great to experience a different culture and to experience the lifestyle of Argentina. The level of soccer was extremely high and it was fun to compete with and against great players."

The Ohio Elite Soccer Academy International Training Program is run in addition to the regular training program. Players attending this trip last year raised over a third of the cost through fundraisers, donations, and corporate sponsorship. Plans for the 2013 trip are already being discussed and planned. For more information about the International Training Program, please contact Assistant Boys DoC Marc Sabin at msabin@ohioelite.com.
